technically iwatched parts of xross wars / fusion, BUT in mycountry sometimes they skipped episodes, and didn't bother to show the 2nd half so i couldn't say i watched it
I didn't watch either Adventure tri or reboot

I watched Applimonsters but that is a spinoff that technically isn't Digimon

I never got around to watch Tri yet, I will watch that one at some point just not anytime soon.

Tri starts off pretty solid but trips by the last movie, arguably last two (4 to 8 episodes, but definitely watch the movies instead, since that's the way they were originally scripted and those flow better)

Digimon Fusion 1st season second half was good. The 2nd season was not bad either but it had a different mc. It was kind of like digimon adventure 1 and 2. I watched it online.

Aplimonsters was also good. It was a spin off but it was as good as the original series.

They should’ve made an anime adaptation of digimon: cyber sleuth and digimon: hackers memory. Those games have such a great storyline I love it. I watched the gameplay on YouTube.

You have got to watch tamers. It's realistic and gets pretty dark later on in the series.

Adventure, Tamers, Data Squad so far are the best one.
Frontier, Xros Wars and App Monsters are crap.

Xros wars gets really good if you give it a chance, overlook some digimon designs, and forgive the evolution methods if they are not to your liking... Sticking with the series, Taiki quickly become my favourite Protagonist. The show had lots of mind games & action --> reaction moments, instead of winning the day by the power of friendship paired with a new evolution.

Digimon partners and evolutions are the things mostly pushing viewers
away , but the reverse is also true....
So in that regard, if the story line would have
been approached differently with xros wars, it would have been easily the best season out of all...but in the end. Digimon also about selling toys , so studios are unfortunately given the stuff they need to create a show around...

For example Frointers: it's digimon, but the kids become the digimon instead... That pushed away many, as people liked the original series becuase of the bonds developing between the humans and the digimon. Frointer just took that away...It could very well have a great story to tell , but because of the above, Noone cares.

Same with Digimon Savers. It had the best style(imo) Characters and evolution method.(Digimon were maybe a bit oversized....but who cares) However, it didn't really have a good story in the end, yet it is still highly received. Don't get me wrong, it had a lot of potential, Buildups, revelations, drama....but i can literally write the sentence "Masaru punched it then won" , and it can serve as a major spoiler for every threat ever emerging in the entire series...Even the movie.

The people that didn't like Frontier are crazy. I was ALL ABOUT that "becoming the digimon" thing, especially since they still had allies that they worked with, they just weren't their partners.

Very decent. I'm glad Gammamon didn't digivolve the first episode or beat the digimon of the week. Next episode is going to be tough cuz Mummymon is an Ultimate. He could be one of the big bads.

Doubtful. there have been times where an underpowered champion was beaten by a rook, ultimate by champion, etc.

Also, I'd say Gammamon did beat Clockmon. He puked up all the time he'd stolen from people and then disappeared. Even if he isn't dead/reduced to a digiegg, Clockmon still definitely lost.

This one look quite dark. That girl get took all her age and become old.

Okay I take it back. They got back their time but it seem there still a stake here. I am excited to see what they have in store for us.

Ok so i think i judge digimon seriously.. My favorites are Digimon Adventure 1, 3, digimon Frontier was ok, and Digimon Data Squad was bad ass with my top favorites being DW3 and DDS. I'm also loving the remake of DW1.

This show is borderline kids show but it's actually quite fun with this new feel of spooky vibes and themes that although the animation makes it seem childish, the idea that you can get your time stolen is scary AF and it attests to how powerful Digimon are even if they aren't fully evolved..

I like the ingenuity with the main character actually thinking and being decisive (when he threw that branch and figured out what was going on) as opposed to just yelling something and brute forcing victory with some weird plot miracle and the power of friendship by having gammamon evolve or something..

Not to mentiion Gammamon is cute AF. No like really, the voice acting is superb and I LOVE his personality and lines in this episode. And the emphasis on his facial expressions like that smile near the end. That was ADORABLE.

"YOU'RE GONNA MAKE ME GO KABOOOM! GRRR!!" Was literally the cutest warcry ever.

Sorry about the long comment but I think I'm gonna keep watching this.. I'm 26 this year and my interest in anime is diminishing (I stopped watching most of the new shows that come out per season and just handpick stuff because I just don't have the energy or time anymore) so I think this is a good testimony for people who aren't sure whether to watch this.

I hope the show keeps this flow!

Mummymon is an Ultimate. They gonna get their butts whooped. Digivolve is necessary. He's probably one of the big bads in the 1st arc.

Only three protagonists? Lots of dark themes being foreshadowed?! Yep, this is giving off Digimon Tamers vibes, and I LOVE IT. If this ends up being even half of what Tamers delivered, i'm happy already.

Finally, someone else who felt the Tamers vibes. I was beginning to think I was the only one, haha.

I really like that this show makes digimon threatening, it feels like watching the beginning of our war game, who says Kid shows can't have danger or serious undertones,
this show feels like a combination of Frontier and Hunters in that the digimon both fit the tone of the series being acult based in supersticion like a mummy or stict-faced monster
if anything this is the closest I'm gonna get to Cyber Sleuth est digimon series, I really like the side story's in cyber sleuth and hackers memory for using a lot of Japan's Myths to explain requests like Door leading to no where, it was the fault of a digimon but not just any digimon, a digimon similar to the action fairy tale
I feel like I'm really gonna like this series even at age 22

I think we're all grown up adults here, and we still love Digimon, it's one of those few series for kids that can also become really dark AF so that adults can also enjoy it.

As much as I like the Adventure 01 reboot, it is nice to see an actual new series that feels like a true Digimon series. Appmon was fine, but didn't really feel like a true Digimon series. This is a nice return to the show's roots while still doing something different, which I've always been fine with.

solid 1st episode, hope they maintain the creepyness.
